IR and FRET probes

The experimental study of protein folding has utilized a number of spectroscopic techniques, including IR, Raman, NMR, CD, DSC, and fluorescence spectroscopy to
probe peptide-backbone conformational changes associated with protein folding. Several of these spectroscopic techniques have been coupled with specific labels for exploring
local conformational changes in proteins to obtain a more detailed view of protein structure and folding.
